About Me

Hey, I’m Kaaviya Nakkeeran, a 28-year-old frontend engineer with a camera in one hand, a passport in the other, and a soft spot for every cat I meet. Seriously, if there’s a cat around, I’m probably already crouched next to it saying hi.

I work full-time at a carbon footprinting company, which has opened my eyes to how our choices from the code we write to the way we travel impact the planet. These days, I’m trying to live and explore more consciously: slower trips, local stays, less waste, more intention.

Since I work a 9-5, I plan all my travel around weekends and annual leave. It’s a bit of a puzzle sometimes, but it makes every trip feel even more worth it.

On this blog, you’ll find two sides of me. One side dives deep into frontend development think React, TypeScript and career growth. The other shares snapshots from my travels, the places my husband and I explore during holidays, complete with tips, reflections, and photos from the road.

When I’m not coding, traveling, or chasing cats, I’m usually swimming, reading, journaling in Notion, or just trying to live a little better than yesterday

Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here.
